Like many other people who have watch restoration my story begins with a few watches I inherited from relative. It all began with the Wittnauer to the left. I had been holding onto this watch since around 2002 and never got around to having it serviced primarily to the cost and the limited availability of watchmakers.
Fast forward almost 12 years later, One day while searching for modern watches that are made in USA I came across several sites talking about the restoration of vintage American-made. Over the next few months, I started tinkering around some cheap watch movement to try to understand how they work and I read and read about watch restoration. Well a few years later, I have restored a couple hundred watch, mostly vintage american and switch watches.
